Thanks to everyone who came out to our first meeting with some great ideas. This week we want to choose a couple of events to focus our attention on for the semester and get planning! Looking forward to seeing everyone Thursday evening.

APPLY FOR AN OFFICER POSITION
Thank you to everyone who applied for an officer position. Officers will be announced this Thursday at our general meeting. We'll be accepting applications until Tuesday for those of you who may have forgotten to send us your interest! You are welcome to apply to all openings, but in particular we are looking for greater interests for the positions of Farmer's Market Chair. Responsibilities are below...
Farmer's Market Chair
Internal Communications (secretarial position, send our weekly newsletter)
External Communications (public relations, liasion with other organizations)
Earth Week Chair (plan and coordinate earth week events for this spring)
Special Events (whatever you want it to be! whether you want to plan a movie screening or guest lecture, we are open to your ideas)
Please send us a paragraph describing your interest in the position and why you would be a great fit by THIS TUESDAY! _____________________________

We will send out a weekly newsletter by Sunday night and post the contents on to our blog (www.uscenvironment1st.blogspot.com ). If you have any announcements please send them in by the end of the week and we'll be sure to include them in the newsletter.
